Comment

Similar to Hyperolius pusillus according to the original publication. Schiøtz, 2006, Alytes, 24: 61-71, suggested on the basis of examination of types and call structure that the populations associated with the name Hyperolius viridis by Channing, Moyer, and Burger, 2002, Afr. Zool., 37: 91-99, are actually Hyperolius benguellensis (although the type of the latter is now lost). In the Hyperolius nasutus group of Amiet, 2005, Rev. Suisse Zool., 112: 271-310. Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 187-188, provided an account.
