Brachycephalus margaritatus Pombal and Izecksohn, 2011, Pap. Avulsos Zool., São Paulo, 51: 444. Holotype: MNRJ 39312, by original designation. Type locality: "Sacra Família do Tinguá (22° 30′ 08″ S; 43° 35′ 13″ W), município Engenheiro Paulo de Frontin, Estado do Rio de Janeiro".
