Hyperolius sheldricki Duff-MacKay and Schiøtz, 1971, J. E. Afr. Nat. Hist. Soc., 29: 1. Holotype: NMK A/366/3, by original designation. Type locality: "north of Aruba Dam, Tsavo National Park (East) 3° 18′ S, 38° 54′ E", Kenya.

Distribution

Associated with temporary pools in arid southeastern Kenya.

In the Hyperolius viridiflavus superspecies, according to Schiøtz, 1975, Treefrogs E. Afr.: 218. Considered a subspecies of Hyperolius viridiflavus by Laurent, 1976, Ann. Mus. R. Afr. Cent., Tervuren, Ser. Octavo, Sci. Zool., 213: 90. Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 181-182, provided an account. Discussed by Pickersgill, 2007, Frog Search: 419.
