Known only from the type locality (Kasiki, Marungo, Dem. Rep. Congo).
Comment
Schiøtz, 2006, Alytes, 24: 69, suggested that this nominal taxon might be conspecific with Hyperolius benguellensis as did Schiøtz, 2006, Alytes, 24: 46.
