South Cameroon Reed Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 67).
Eastern part of southern Cameroon and adjacent northern Gabon; presumably to be found in Equatorial Guinea and northern Rep. Congo as well as possibly in western Central African Republic.
Considered a synonym of Hyperolius acutirostris by Perret, 1962 "1961", Rech. Études Cameroun., 1: 91, and Perret, 1966, Zool. Jahrb., Jena, Abt. Syst., 93: 408, but subsequently considered a distinct species by Perret, 1975, Rev. Suisse Zool., 82: 191. Amiet, 1980, Rev.
