Hyperolius mosaicus Perret, 1959, Rev. Suisse Zool., 66: 716. Holotype: MHNG 965.12, by original designation. Type locality: "Ngam, Sangmelina, Cameroun".

Distribution
Eastern part of southern Cameroon and adjacent northern Gabon; presumably to be found in Equatorial Guinea and northern Rep. Congo as well as possibly in western Central African Republic.
Comment
Considered a synonym of Hyperolius acutirostris by Perret, 1962 "1961", Rech. Études Cameroun., 1: 91, and Perret, 1966, Zool. Jahrb., Jena, Abt. Syst., 93: 408, but subsequently considered a distinct species by Perret, 1975, Rev. Suisse Zool., 82: 191. Amiet, 1980, Rev.
