Comment

Removed from the synonymy of Hyperolius marmoratus by Wieczorek, Drewes, and Channing, 2000, J. Biogeograph., 27: 1235, where it had been placed by Laurent, 1952 "1951", Ann. Soc. R. Zool. Belg., 82: 386. Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 168-169, provided an account, but did not include Dem. Rep. Congo or Zambia within the stated range. Pickersgill, 2007, Frog Search: 427, discussed the intergradation of nominal Hyperolius renschi and Hyperolius mariae.
