Hyperolius laurenti Schiøtz, 1967, Spolia Zool. Mus. Haun., 25: 209. Holotype: ZMUC R073284, by original designation. Type locality: "near the forestry resthouse in Bobiri Forest Reserve, Ghana".

English Names

Schiotz's Reed Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 67).

Distribution

Rainforests from Kalota in south-central Ivory Coast to southwestern Ghana.

Comment

Possibly a subspecies of Hyperolius chlorosteus according to Schiøtz, 1967, Spolia Zool. Mus. Haun., 25: 212, although this not reiterated by Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr.: 124. Rödel, Gil, Agyei, Leaché, Diaz, Fujita, and Ernst, 2005, Salamandra, 41: 118-119, provided records for southwestern Ghana.
