Rappia bivittata Ferreira, 1906, J. Sci. Math. Phys. Nat., Lisboa, Ser. 2, 7: 161. Syntypes: MUP, according to R. Laurent in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 210. Type localities: "Rio Luinha, Quilombo, N'golla Bumba", Angola. Secondary homonym of Hyperolius bivittatus Peters, 1854.

Hyperolius ferreirai Noble, 1924, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 49: 324. Replacement name for Rappia bivittatus Ferreira, 1906.

English Names

Rio Luinha Reed Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 67).

Distribution

Known only from the type localities (Rio Luinha, Quilombo and N'golla Bumba, Angola).

Comment

Probably a synonym of Hyperolius platyceps (R. Laurent in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 210). Not mentioned by Schiøtz, 1999, Treefrogs Afr..
