Hyperolius obstetricans Ahl, 1931, Das Tierreich, 55: 364. Holotype: ZMB unnumbered, according to the original publication; MHNG 995.48 designated neotype for the lost holotype by Perret, 1966, Zool. Jahrb., Jena, Abt. Syst., 93: 410. Type locality: "Bipindi, Kamerun [= Cameroon]"; neotype from "Foulassi, rivičre Lobô". The description in Ahl, 1931, Mitt. Zool. Mus. Berlin, 17: 90, appeared a few weeks later according to unpublished notes by A. Loveridge (fide R. Laurent).

English Names

None noted.

Distribution

Southern and southwestern Cameroon south through Equatorial Guinea and much of Gabon; likely in adjacent Central African Republic, and Rep. Congo.
