Afrixalus septentrionalis morerei Dubois, 1986 "1985", Alytes, 4: 98. Holotype: ZMUC 9447, by original designation. Type locality: "forêt de Dabaga, Tanzanie (localité No. 9 de Tanzanie sur la carte de la fig. 1 in Schiøtz, 1975: 9)". Given by museum records as "Savanna between Dabaga and Kilolo" (personal commun., H. Kristensen, 24 Nov. 2010).

Afrixalus dabagae Pickersgill, 1992, Steenstrupia, 18: 146. Holotype: ZMUC 079447, by original designation. Type locality: "near Dabaga in Tanzania". Given by museum records as "Savanna between Dabaga and Kilolo" (personal commun., H. Kristensen, 24 Nov. 2010). Objective synonym of Afrixalus morerei. Pickersgill, when naming Afrixalus dabagae, was unaware of the earlier description of Afrixalus septentrionalis morerei (named by Dubois on the basis of the previously published specimen description by Schiøtz).

Distribution

Southern Udzungwa highlands in Tanzania at elevations of 1300-2050 m.
