Afrixalus leucostictus Laurent, 1950, Rev. Zool. Bot. Afr., 44: 7. Holotype: MRAC unnumbered by original designation; MRAC 75.19.B.8, according to R. Laurent in Frost, 1985, Amph. Species World: 222. Type locality: "Makese (Alt. 650 m.), à 30 km. à l'est de Shabunda, au nord de l'Ulindi, Kivu", Dem. Rep. Congo.

English Names

Makese Banana Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 66).

Distribution

Rainforest of eastern and central Dem. Rep. Congo, 750-1000 m elevation.
