Megaelosia bocainensis Giaretta, Bokermann, and Haddad, 1993, J. Herpetol., 27: 276. Holotype: MNRJ 15900, by original designation. Type locality: "Campo de Fruticultura, Serra da Bocaina, São José do Barreiro (ca. 22° 47′ S, 44° 40′ W, 1700 m), State of São Paulo, southeastern Brazil."

English Names

Bocaina Big-tooth Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 82).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (Serra da Bocaina, state of São Paulo, Brazil).
