Crossodactylus schmidti Gallardo, 1961, Neotropica, 7: 34. Holotype: MACN 2943, by original designation. Type locality: "Yacú-poí, sobre río Uruguaí, 30 km al E de Puerto Libertad, Misiones, Argentina".

English Names

Schmidt's Spinythumb Frog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 71).

Distribution

Misiones, Argentina; western Paraná, extreme northern Rio Grande do Sul, and western Santa Catarina, Brazil; southeastern Paraguay, 300-750 m elevation.
