Crossodactylus cyclospinus Nascimento, Cruz, and Feio, 2005, Amphibia-Reptilia, 26: 498. Holotype: MNRJ 34501, by original designation. Type locality: "Fazenda Duas Barras (15° 53′ S, 40° 28′ W, altitude 800 m approximately), Municipality of Santa Maria do Salto, State of Minas Gerais, Brazil".

Known only from the type locality in the Serra do Cariri, a mountain range that separates the states of Minas Gerias and Bahia, Brazil.
