Phyllomedusa pailona Shreve, 1959, Breviora, 113: 1. Holotype: MCZ 29677, by original designation. Type locality: "El Pailon, 5 kilometers from the eastern shore of the Rio Grande, altitude 350 meters, Department of Santa Cruz, Bolivia". Synonymy by Cannatella, 1983, Proc. Biol. Soc. Washington, 96: 60.

English Names

Distribution

Amazonian slopes of Andes and lowlands in Bolivia, northern Argentina, and western and southeastern Mato Grosso and Rôndonia, Brazil; likely into adjacent Paraguay.

Hist., 294: 117-118. In the Phyllomedusa tarsius group of Barrio-Amorós, 2006, Zootaxa, 1309: 55-68. Brusquetti and Lavilla, 2006, Cuad. Herpetol., 20: 26, suggested that this species likely occurs in Paraguay. Rodrigues, Noronha, Lima, and Rosa, 2011, Check List, 7: 397-399, provided a record for southeastn Mato Grosso, Brazil.
