Litoria umarensis Günther, 2004, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 54: 169. Holotype: ZMB 62347, by original designation. Type locality: "in a forest swamp near the river Nanggubi, 2 km SW of the coastal village of Bawe, 10 m a.s.l. coordinates 2° 59′ S, 134° 35′ E, Umar Bay, Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), Province of Indonesia".

Distribution
Known only from the type locality at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula, western Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) (New Guinea), Indonesia.
Comment
In the Litoria nigropunctata group according to the original publication. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 118, provided a brief account.
