Litoria umarensis Günther, 2004, Zool. Abh. Staatl. Mus. Tierkd. Dresden, 54: 169. Holotype: ZMB 62347, by original designation. Type locality: "in a forest swamp near the river Nanggubi, 2 km SW of the coastal village of Bawe, 10 m a.s.l. coordinates 2° 59′ S, 134° 35′ E, Umar Bay, Papua (formerly Irian Jaya), Province of Indonesia".

Known only from the type locality at the base of the Wandammen Peninsula, western Papua (formerly Irian Jaya) (New Guinea), Indonesia.
