Litoria sauroni Richards and Oliver, 2006, Zootaxa, 1295: 46. Holotype: SAMA R60727, by original designation. Type locality: "Darai Plateau, Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea, (07° 07.771′ S, 143° 36.806′ E at 420 m asl)".

Known only from two localities in the Kikori Integrate Conservation and Development Project area (Dark End Lumber and the Darai Plateau), Southern Highlands Province, Papua New Guinea.

In the Litoria graminea complex according to the original publication. Shea and Kraus, 2007, Zootaxa, 1514: 37-60, commented on types.
