Nyctimystes perimetri Zweifel, 1958, Am. Mus. Novit., 1896: 31. Holotype: AMNH 60081, by original designation. Type locality: "at an elevation of 250-350 meters (830-1170 feet) on the west slope of Mt. Riu, Sudest (Tagula) Island, Louisiade Archipelago, Territory of Papua New Guinea" (Milne Bay Province, Papua New Guinea).

English Names

Archipelago Big-eyed Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 61).

Distribution

Sudest (= Tagula) and Rossel (= Yela) Is., Louisiade Archipelago, Papua New Guinea.

Comment

Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 164-165, provided a brief account and suggested that the species might be found in the Owen Stanley Mountains.
