Pelodytes nasutus Gray, 1842, Zool. Misc., Part 2: 56. Holotype: Not designated, but BMNH 1947.2.22.81 (formerly 1936.12.3.192) according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 93. Type locality: "North coast of Australia; Port Essington", Northern Territory, Australia.

Distribution

Coastal Australia from northern Western Australia east and then south to eastern New South Wales; southern lowlands and southeast peninsula of New Guinea.
