Distribution

Kimberley region of northeastern Western Australia (Mitchell Plateau and northern Drysdale River National Park) east along the coastal plain through the Northern Territory to northern Queensland; also reported from Groote Eylandt and the Tiwi Islands.

Comment

Considered a synonym of Litoria dorsalis by Cogger, Cameron, and Cogger, 1983, Zool. Cat. Aust., Amph. Rept., 1: 42; without discussion. Cogger and Lindner, 1974, in Frith and Calaby (eds.), Fauna Survey Port Essington District: 63-107, also questioned the distinctiveness of this species. See Tyler and Parker, 1972, Trans. R. Soc. S.
