Hyla leucova Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 119. Holotype: SAMA R6461, by original designation. Type locality: "Busilmin, Eastern Mountains, [West Sepik Province, Papua] New Guinea".

Distribution
Known only two localities at 1600 m elevation in the upper Sepik catchment on the northern slopes of the central mountains and one locality in the upper Ok Tedi on the southern slopes of the central mountains, West Sepik Province, and in the Hunstein Mountains of East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea.

Rev., 37: 364-368, provided a record for Hunstein Mountains, East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 144, provided a brief account and included this in his Litoria iris group.
