Nyctimystes fluviatilis Zweifel, 1958, Am. Mus. Novit., 1896: 11. Holotype: AMNH 49567, by original designation. Type locality: "Bernhard Camp, Idenburg River, Netherlands New Guinea" (Papua, Indonesia).

English Names

Indonesian Big-eyed Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 60).

Distribution

Known from the type locality (Idenberg River) and the Wapoga River area in Papua Province, Indonesia, and east to West Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea.

Comment

Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 161-162, provided a brief account (as Nyctimystes fluviatilis). Kraus, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 246-248, provided the first records for Papua New Guinea.
