Hyla Everetti Boulenger, 1897, Ann. Mag. Nat. Hist., Ser. 6, 19: 509. Syntypes: "numerous specimens"—BMNH 1947.2.23.60-65 (Savu) (formerly 97.6.21.106-111) and 1947.2.23.66-67 (formerly 97.6.21.104-05) (Sumba), according to Condit, 1964, J. Ohio Herpetol. Soc., 4: 90; NHMW 19509.1-3 also considered syntypes by Häupl and Tiedemann, 1978, Kat. Wiss. Samml. Naturhist. Mus. Wien, 2: 19, and Häupl, Tiedemann, and Grillitsch, 1994, Kat. Wiss. Samml. Naturhist. Mus. Wien, 9: 23. Type locality: "Sumba and Savu" islands, Indonesia; restricted to "Sumba" by Forcart, 1953, Verh. Naturforsch. Ges. Basel, 64: 362.

Distribution

Lesser Sunda Islands of Timor, Alor, Savu, and Sumba, Indonesia, 0-1500 m elevation.

See Tyler, 1968, Zool. Verh., Leiden, 96: 90. In the Litoria peronii group of Tyler and Davies, 1978, Aust. J. Zool., Suppl. Ser., 27 (63): 39. Menzies, 2006, Frogs New Guinea & Solomon Is.: 104, provided a brief account for this species which he included in his Litoria amboinensis complex.
