Distribution

From ca. 60 km south of Cauquenes to the Aysén Region (Chile); in Nothofagus forests from Neuquén to lower Río Negro, Argentina.

Vidal and Ortiz, 2009, Check List, 5: 869-871, reported the species from Butachauques and Talcán Islands, between Chiloé and the mainland, Chile, and discussed the biogeography of the species.
