Hyla hadroceps Duellman and Hoogmoed, 1992, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 147: 3. Holotype: KU 60720, by original designation. Type locality: "area north of Acarai Mountains, west of New River (ca. 02° N, 58° W), Rupununi District, Guyana".

New River Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 55).

Distribution

Extreme southern Guyana; French Guiana; presumably in adjacent Surinam.

Lescure and Marty, 2000, Collect. Patrimoines Nat., Paris, 45: 192-194, provided a photo and brief account for French Guiana.
