Trachycephalus atlas Bokermann, 1966, Neotropica, 12: 120. Holotype: WCAB 33669, by original designation; now MZUSP. Type locality: "Fazenda Santo Onofre, 10 km a; este de Maracás, Bahía, Brasil".

English Names

Bokermann's Casque-headed Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 65).

Distribution

Northeastern Brazil in the states of Bahia, Pernambuco, Paraíba, and Ceará.

Comment

Roberto, Ribeiro, Bezerra, and Carneiro, 2011, Check List, 7: 326-327, provided a record for Ceará, Brazil, and discussed and mapped the range. Vieira, Santana, Nóbrega, and Montenegro, 2011, Herpetol. Rev., 42: 387, provided a record for Paraíba (Municipality of São João do Cariri) in Brazil and discussed the range.
