Osteocephalus rimarum Ayarzagüena, Señaris, and Gorzula, 1993 "1992", Mem. Soc. Cienc. Nat. La Salle, 52: 133. Holotype: MHNLS 10646, by original designation. Type locality: "Ptari-tepuy. Estado Bolívar. Venezuela (5° 47′ N-61° 47′ W). 2400 m s.n.m."

English Names

Gorzula's Amazon Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 65).

Distribution

Known only from the summit of Ptari-tepui, Bolívar, Venezuela.

Comment

Gorzula and Señaris, 1999 "1998", Scient. Guaianae, 8: 51, suggested that Tepuihyla edelcae is the nearest relative of this species.
