Hyla aurantiaca surda Cochran, 1953, Herpetologica, 8: 112. Holotype: UMMZ 106736, by original designation. Type locality: "Curitiba, Paraná", Brazil. Type locality refined by Kluge, 1983, Misc. Publ. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 166: 42, to "prairie just south of town [Curitaba]".

English Names

Cochran's Lime Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 65).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the east of the state of Paraná, as well as from localities throughout the state of Santa Catarina and in extreme northeastern Rio Grando do Sul, Brazil.
