Hyla sugillata Duellman, 1973, Herpetologica, 29: 223. Holotype: KU 146444, by original designation. Type locality: "Estación Biológica Río Palenque, 56 km north of Quevedo, Provincia Los Ríos [Pichincha], Ecuador".
