In the Scinax perpusillus group according to Peixoto, 1989 "1988", Arq. Univ. Fed. Rural Rio de Janeiro, 11: 27-37, who noted this name covers a complex of species. In the Scinax catharinae clade, Scinax perpusillus group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 96.
