Ololygon luizotavioi Caramaschi and Kisteumacher, 1989, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, N.S., Zool., 327: 6. Holotype: MNRJ 4210, by original designation. Type locality: "Brazil, Minas Gerais, Municipio de Santa Bárbara, Parque Natural do Caraça (ca. 19° 55′ S, 43° 23′ W)".

Serrano do Espinhaço in Minas Gerais, southeastern Brazil.

Comment

In the Scinax rizibilis group according to the original publication. Subsequently the Scinax rizibilis group was combined into the Scinax catharinae group by Pombal, Bastos, and Haddad, 1995, Naturalia, São Paulo, 20: 213-225. Not mentioned by Duellman and Wiens, 1992, Occas. Pap. Mus. Nat. Hist. Univ. Kansas, 151: 1-23. In the Scinax catharinae clade, Scinax catharinae group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 95-96. Canelas and Bertoluci, 2007, Iheringia, Zool., 97: 21-26, provided a record for the Serra do Caraça, southern end of the Serra do Espinhaço, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Carvalho, Grandinetti, Rocha, and Calixto, 2010, Herpetol. Rev., 41: 104-105, provided an additional record near the Espírito Santo state line, Brazil, and commented on the range. Cruz, Feio, and Caramaschi, 2009, Anf. Ibitipoca: 104-105, provided photographs and a brief account for Parque Estadual do Ibitipoca, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
