Hyla jureia Pombal and Gordo, 1991, Mem. Inst. Butantan, São Paulo, 53: 138. Holotype: ZUEC 8875, by original designation. Type locality: "alto do maciço da Estação Ecológica da Juréia-Itatins (aprox. 24° 30′ S, 47° 15′ W; 300 m alt.), município de Iguape, Estado de São Paulo", Brazil.

English Names

Jureia Snouted Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 64).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil.

Comment

In the Hyla rizibilis (= Scinax rizibilis of this list) group according to the original publication. Subsequently the Scinax rizibilis group was combined into the Scinax catharinae group by Pombal, Bastos, and Haddad, 1995, Naturalia, São Paulo, 20: 213-225. The species name is a noun in apposition.
