Scinax centralis Pombal and Bastos, 1996, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, N.S., Zool., 371: 2. Holotype: MNRJ 17465, by original designation. Type locality: "Estação Florestal de Experimentação (16° 39′ S; 48° 36′ W; 900 m de altitude), município de Silvânia, Estado de Goiás, Brasil".

Distribution

Paranaiba River basin in the municipalities of Campo Alegre de Goiás, Orizona, Ipameri, and Silvânia in the state of Goiás, as well as the muncipality of Brasilia in the Distrito Federal, Brazil.

In the Scinax catharinae group according to the original publication. In the Scinax catharinae clade, Scinax catharinae group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 95. Brandão and Araújo, 2001, in Ribeiro et al. (eds.), Cerrado—Caracterização e Recuperação de Matas de Galeria: 560-604, reported the species in the Distrito Federal, Brazil. Moura, Fernandes, Santana, and Feio, 2010, Check List, 6: 173-175, discussed the distribution, provided additional localities, and a range map.
