Hyla atrata Peixoto, 1989 "1988", Arq. Univ. Fed. Rural Rio de Janeiro, 11: 31. Holotype: WCAB 31326, by original designation; now in MZUSP. Type locality: "Brasil, Estado de São Paulo, São José do Barreiro, Serra da Bocaina".
