Hyla albicans Bokermann, 1967, Neotropica, 13: 64. Holotype: WCAB 19519, by original designation; now in MZUSP. Type locality: "próxima a los 1000 m de altura en el Parque Nacional da Serra dos Orgãos, río Beija Flor, Terezopolis, estado do Rio de Janeiro, Brasil".

Hyla catharinae opalina Lutz, 1968, Pearce-Sellards Ser., 12: 6. Syntypes: MNRJ 4037-38, by original designation. Type locality: "Serra dos Orgaos at Teresopolis, state of Rio de Janeiro (22° 26′ 12″ S.; 42° 52′ 42″ W.), 800-900 meters elevation", Brazil. Synonymy by Carvalho-e-Silva and Carvalho-e-Silva, 1994, Rev. Brasil. Biol., 54: 56-57; Pombal and Bastos, 1996, Bol. Mus. Nac., Rio de Janeiro, N.S., Zool., 371: 1.
