Leptopelis occidentalis Schiøtz, 1967, Spolia Zool. Mus. Haun., 25: 41. Holotype: ZMUC R075598, by original designation. Type locality: "near Tai, Côte d'Ivoire [= Ivory Coast]".
English Names

Distribution
Rainforests of southern Ghana to eastern Liberia and southern Ivory Coast, possibly as far east as Nigeria.
Comment
Possibly conspecific with Leptopelis boulengeri according to Schiøtz, 1967, Spolia Zool. Mus. Haun., 25: 46. Rödel and Branch, 2002, Salamandra, 38: 258, reported the species for Ivory Coast.
