Comment

Placed in the synonymy of Pseudis paradoxa by Gallardo, 1961, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 125: 117, but revalidated by Caramaschi and Cruz, 1998, Rev. Brasil. Zool., 15: 929-944, who provided an account. De la Riva, 1999, Brit. J. Herpetol., 68: 14-19, discussed this species as a race of Pseudis paradoxa, but did not address the taxonomic issue.
