Distribution

Southern New Jersey to and including the Delmarva Peninsula of Maryland, Delaware, and Virginia.

Comment

In the Pseudacris nigrita group of Faivovich, Haddad, Garcia, Frost, Campbell, and Wheeler, 2005, Bull. Am. Mus. Nat. Hist., 294: 106. Removed from the synonymy of Pseudacris triseriata by Hedges, 1986, Syst. Zool., 35: 1-21. Platz, 1989, Copeia, 1989: 704-712, retained Pseudacris feriarum and Pseudacris kalmi as subspecies of one species but suggested that they might also be distinct species on the basis of data presented by Hedges. Collins, 1997, Herpetol. Circ., 25: 12, considered these to be distinct species without discussion and this was confirmed by Lemmon, Lemmon, Collins, Lee-Yaw, and Cannatella, 2007, Mol. Phylogenet. Evol., 44: 1068-1082.
