Leptopelis mossambicus Poynton, 1985, S. Afr. J. Sci., 81: 467. Holotype: NMP 3682, by original designation. Type locality: "Maputo", Mozambique.

Brown-backed Tree Frog (Passmore and Carruthers, 1979, S. Afr. Frogs: 220; Du Preez and Carruthers, 2009, Compl. Guide Frogs S. Afr.: 96).

Distribution

Savannas of southern Malawi, through the lowlands of Mozambique, eastern Zimbabwe, and Swaziland, into northern and eastern Rep. South Africa; likely eastern Botswana.
