Plectrohyla quecchi Stuart, 1942, Occas. Pap. Mus. Zool. Univ. Michigan, 455: 1. Holotype: UMMZ 89086, by original designation. Type locality: "Stream in Barranca Las Palmas about 2 km. north of Finca Los Alpes (43 km. east and slightly south of Cobán (straight line), Alta Verapaz, Guatemala. Altitude, about 1015 meters".

Distribution
Cloud forest at elevations of 615-1850 m on the slopes of the northern highlands in Guatemala from the Sierra de los Cuchumatanes to the highlands of Alta Verapaz and the Sierra de las Minas.
