Plectrohyla exquisita McCranie and Wilson, 1998, J. Herpetol., 32: 96. Holotype: USNM 513483, by original designation. Type locality: "El Cusuco, above the visitors center of Parque Nacional El Cusuco, Cerro Cusuco (15° 31′ N, 88° 12′ W), 5.6 km WSW Buenos Aires, 1550 m elevation, Sierra de Omoa, Departamento de Cortés, Honduras".

Hyla exquisita — Wiens, Fetzner, Parkinson, and Reeder, 2005, Syst. Biol., 54: 25. by implication.

Distribution

Cloud forest at elevations of 1490-1680 m on the Caribbean versant of the Sierra de Omoa in extreme northwestern Honduras.
