Hyla ephemera Meik, Canseco-Márquez, Smith, and Campbell, 2005, Zootaxa, 1046: 20. Holotype: MZFC 17049, by original designation. Type locality: "between Santa Maria Guienagati and Lachidola, 1100 m, (16.759° N 95.461° W), north slope of Cerro Las Flores, Oaxaca, Mexico".

Distribution
Known only from the region of the type locality ("between Santa Maria Guienagati and Lachidola, 1100 m, north slope of Cerro Las Flores, Oaxaca, Mexico).
