Hylambates marginatus Bocage, 1895, Herpetol. Angola Congo: 178. Holotype: MBL T.218-241, according to Perret, 1976, Arq. Mus. Bocage, Ser. 2, 6: 23; destroyed in 1978 fire. Type locality: "Quissange", Angola.

English Names

Quissange Forest Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 69).

Distribution

Known only from the type locality (unique holotype now lost) (Quissange, western Angola).

Comment

Considered a junior synonym of Leptopelis bocagii by Loveridge, 1933, Bull. Mus. Comp. Zool., 74: 393. Nevertheless, Perret, 1976, Arq. Mus. Bocage, Ser. 2, 6: 23, thought it distinctive.
