Hyla calvicollina Toal, 1994, Herpetologica, 50: 188. Holotype: KU 186356, by original designation. Type locality: "4 km N Cerro Pelón, Sierra de Juárez, Oaxaca, México, 2518 m (17° 30′ N, 96° 30′ W)".

Distribution
Known only from two localities at elevations of 2519 and 2712 m on the northern slope of Cerro Pelón in the Sierra de Juarez, Oaxaca, Mexico, in cloud forest.
