Type locality: "La Loma, Chiriquicito, República de Panama", in error; see comments by McCranie and Wilson, 2002, Amph. Honduras: 257. Synonymy by Goin, 1959, Copeia, 1959: 340. McCranie and Casteñeda, 2006, Herpetologica, 62: 322, suggested that this synonymy needs to be revisited.
