Osteocephalus fuscifacies Jungfer, Ron, Seipp, and Almendáriz, 2000, Amphibia-Reptilia, 21: 336. Holotype: EPN-H 6657, by original designation. Type locality: "Estación Biologica Jatun Sacha, (01° 04′ S; 77° 36′ W), Provincia Napo, Ecuador, 450 m a.s.l."
