Comment

Channing and Howell, 2006, Amph. E. Afr.: 200-201, provided an account. Greenbaum, Portillo, and Kusamba, 2012, Afr. J. Herpetol., 61: 113-127, suggested on the basis of molecular evidence that this is the sister species of Leptopelis karissembensis and that the populations in Tanzania and those on the west side of Lake Tanganyika in the Dem. Rep. Congo may not be conspecific.
