Type locality: "Provinciae Rio de Janeiro", Brazil. Bokermann, 1966, Lista Anot. Local. Tipo Anf. Brasil.: 51, suggested that the type locality is "provàvelmente Rio de Janeiro", Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
