Hyla semiguttata Lutz, 1925, C. R. Mém. Hebd. Séances Soc. Biol. Filial., Paris, 93 (1925, vol. 2): 211. Holotype: not stated, but AL-MNRJ 68, according to Duellman, 1977, Das Tierreich, 95: 100. Type locality: "S[ão] Bento [do Sul], état de S[anta] Catharina", Brazil.

Boana semiguttata — Wiens, Fetzner, Parkinson, and Reeder, 2005, Syst. Biol., 54: 743. by implication.

Speckled Treefrog (Frank and Ramus, 1995, Compl. Guide Scient. Common Names Amph. Rept. World: 58).

Distribution

Slopes of the Serra do Mar from the Municipio de Piraquara in State of Paraná through the Municipio de São Bento do Sul, reaching Municipio de Rio dos Cedros both in the State of Santa Catarina, southern Brazil.
