Hyla polytaenia goiana Lutz, 1968, Pearce-Sellards Ser., 12: 11. Holotype: MNRJ 3235, by original designation. Type locality: "Jatobasinho, São João da Aliança, highlands of Goiás", Brazil., 19° 30′ S, 43° 44′ W, Brazil.
